i’ve known mollie since we were kids. fun fact- when i was in second grade i shut mollie’s fingers in a door and broke them. i figured i owed her back with an engagement shoot. i avoided opening doors at all costs.

last week, i traveled with jordan, matthew, their families and close friends to tiburon, california. this wasn’t just a trip and it wasn’t just a wedding. it was a true pilgrimage of love. if you happen to be lucky enough to know jordan and matt, you know that they are magnetic. they just are. their love is so alive and they are two of the most giving people i know. i get goosebumps every time i think about the past week in california. there was something so special about it and holy heck i’m glad i’ll have photos to remember it forever.

the day before the wedding, everyone gathered at a family friend’s house in near by sonoma. between the wedding party olympics in the backyard pool (yes, images of this are coming to a blog near you soon) and between dinner, jordan, matt and i snuck away to the vineyard take some day before engagement photos.

sometimes i wonder how out of all the photographers on this planet, the universe chose me to be there to capture matthew and jordan’s love. i heart you universe.
